Christopher Sinha, MD

Dr. Sinha received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984, and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in 1988. Both institutions are located in Philadelphia, PA. He was awarded the Health Professions Scholarship for medical school from the U.S. Army. In 1993, he completed his residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center, in Honolulu, Hawaii. After residency, he completed additional fellowship training in oncologic and reconstructive surgery of the face, oral cavity, throat and neck at Methodist Hospital of Indiana.He completed his military obligation at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where he was Director of Facial Plastic Surgery and Vice Chairman of the Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery Service.

Dr. Sinha is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, and Board Certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has authored or co-authored several articles in the peer reviewed medical literature. He has received the Honor Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Sinha served 33 years Active and Reserve duty in the U.S. Army. He also served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD. He has taken his medical and surgical skills to help those less fortunate in the Federated States of Micronesia, Honduras, Guyana, Chad, Ghana and Suriname.

Dr. Sinha enjoys spending time with his wife Gina and his two sons Troy and Tristan. He loves playing tennis, skiing, sailing and riding his bicycle on the roads of rural Maryland.

Dr. Sinha evaluates and treats a wide array of disorders of the ears, nose and throat. He has special expertise and great interest in the treatment of tumors of the mouth, throat, voice box, neck and face as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery, plastic surgery of the face and neck, and endoscopic sinus surgery.

Dr. Ahmed ENT

Mostafa Ahmed, MD

Dr. Ahmed grew up in northern Wisconsin and received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and completed his residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center, in San Antonio, TX. After residency, he served in the US Army and had multiple rewarding assignments including deploying to Iraq and finishing his military career at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Dr. Ahmed is Board Certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He has co-authored several articles in peer reviewed medical literature focusing on nerve regeneration and noise-induced hearing loss. He is active with American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and serves on the Facial Trauma and Imaging committees.

He collaborates with investigators at the University of Washington on the development of novel facial nerve regeneration techniques. He holds several patents for ENT surgery related devices with the Defense Health Agency and US Air Force.

Dr. Ahmed evaluates and treats the wide array of pediatric and adult disorders of the ears, nose, and throat. His surgical interests include:

  • Minimally invasive, endoscopic ear surgery to treat tympanic membrane perforations, cholesteatoma, and hearing loss.
  • Endoscopic sinus surgery for nasal polyps and chronic sinusitis.
  • In-office balloon sinuplasty using state-of-the-art Medtronic image-guidance for chronic and recurrent sinusitis.
  • Vivaer and Rhinaer for nasal congestion and postnasal drip.
  • In-office vocal fold augmentation to treat disorders of the voice.
  • Cosmetic and functional open and closed rhinoplasty to improve nasal function and aesthetic.
  • Facial reconstructive surgery following trauma.

Dr. Ahmed is fluent in Spanish and resides in the DC area with his wife and son.

Shama Shaikh, PA-C

Shama grew up in the suburbs of Maryland and completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008. She then went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Towson University in 2014. She has over ten years of experience in General ENT, along with expertise in Sleep Medicine.

Outside of work, Shama enjoys swimming, playing basketball, baking, and spending time with her husband and three young children.
